All White !! x

I like to have a few cards ready to personalise quickly and this card is one of them.
All the elements are from Cricut Straight from the Nest Cartridge and the border is Cricut Elegant Edges.
The bottom right corner is deliberately left plain to add a sentiment or name etc.
I have used a 6x6 Hessian card blank and glitter card for the back of the bird cage. All the elements are ice white shimmer card and paper. Texture is really important in all white I card I always think.

Proudest New Best Big Bro EVER !! x

Quick card this evening, made for Louie the proudest new big brother ever!!
The paper doll image and bicycle were cut on my Cricut using the Paper Dolls Cartridge with George and Basic Shapes letters for the name. The small letters are a Docrafts die and I completely forget which cartridge the rosette was cut from !! It's been a busy week and the brain cell is tired tonight lol !!

Commissioned Bling !! x

I have another commission card to share today, Kanban card stock for a bit of shimmer here!!
More of the fantastic "Fran-tage" jewel technique and lots of bows and butterflies
I cannot remember who the stamp is made by :( but I love love love it !! The frame is a Sizzix die cut.
I am entering the card in the Crafty Ribbons Challenge "Bows and Butterflies"

Commission Card...Baby Vinnie x

This card is a commission, made to welcome a very special baby into the world and to congratulate his Mum and Dad on his arrival. The lady who requested the card tells me they have had a very long hard journey and many tears to get him here, their story reminds me of just how much we all take for granted every day !!
 xhugsx
I have used my faithful Cricut and Sampler Cartridge to make this card, using Me to You backing papers, gorgeous blue lace and lots of gems.
I used Faded Jeans distress ink for definition...
...and Papermania letters and peel off numbers, on a spellbinders die cut oval, for the most important part topped off with a triple bow!!

I am entering Vinnie's card into the following challenges:
Allsorts "Ice Cream Colours"
The Paper Shelter "Anything Goes"
Fussy and Fancy "Boy Attitude

"Try it on Tuesday "Anything Goes"

Father's Day Finally ... x ...

I was very late starting my Father's Day cards this year but here they now are all done and dusted ...
I've used DoCrafts gorgeous Wellington ...the little bear left in the attic (??I think??)... and 3 different sketches so that I didn't have to think too hard...
I am entering them into 3 separate challenges so please excuse the crazy amount of posts lol !!

Father's Day Finally ... x2 ...

Fathers Day card number 1 has been entered into the  Card Patterns  Challenge using this sketch:
Current Sketch
I have used Papermania textured card for all the mats and layers on the card and cut the shapes and "Dad" using Cricut George and Basic Shapes Cartridge. Wellington is a pre cut topper.

Father's Day Finally ...x3...

Card two has been entered into The Sweet Stop Challenge using this sketch:
I've put the sketch on its side and pretty much left it alone.
I used Cricut George and Basic Shapes Cartridge for the squares, oval and "Dad" and embellished using Craft Work Cards "candy". The little button came from Doodle Bugs (I think).

Fathers Day Finally ... x4

For my last Father's Day offering I am entering the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge using this sketch:
There is a twist in the tail here ... the colour combination... - Black, craft and 1 other colour.

I opted for a pearly brown Shimmer card stock by DCWV to keep it clean and simple.
(The kraft card is by Craft Creations)
I've used a good old craft knife and cutting mat for the back ground mats and then the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge for the scalloped and oval parts. Cricut George and Basic Shapes for the "Dad" and a Marianne D die for the corner's.
This time I have used the embossed Wellington Stickers and a few black pearls for decoration.

For Lisa x

This is a card commissioned by the lads in our local pub's dart team so plenty of space for all those signatures needed here!! Bless them they have hearts of  gold for all their testosterone fuelled, beer drinking, blarney !! (Joking boys !! xox)
I've used another of the fabulous Papermania Foldies 6"x6" square cards as the are great for "collection" cards.
I've used a combination of Papermania Lincoln Linen papers and the pretty bits from its collection and printed sheets of thin printer card and glossy paper with coordinating yellow papers from the Capsule Collection DVD.
From the back
From the front
I like to make these cards in stages as it would be quite easy to get lost in the 10 sides and make a mess lol!!
So I first spent time time using the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge to cut the background papers.
I printed some of the Urban Stamps from the DVD and die cut some with Spellbinder label dies and hand cut some of the little shapes. I kept them black to add some definition and distress inked every single edge.
Spellbinder and Marianne D roses as ever .....

This flower is made from a used, inked, tumble dryer sheet
....and some embossing.
I completed all of the card before embellishing with lots of gems, flowers, tiny bows and a little bit of ribbon.

From this .....
...To this.

xhugsx
Nikki x
The ladies over at Crafty Ribbons have an "easel card" for this weeks challenge so that's where my cards journey began.
I used double sided blue card for the base at 7x7", having taken my colour inspiration from the beautiful blue  and pink picture featured in  The Shabby Tea Room challenge. I  used the lay out over at The Sweet Stop using white and pink patterned  paper with more of the blue to create all their lovely layers. I used Distress Inks in Faded Jeans and Victorian velvet to soften the edges and
I'm hoping my card also meets the remit for Truly Scrumptious "Pretty in Pink" and Paper Shelter's "Vintage/Shabby"

(I found it really difficult to do the card justice in my photographs as there is just sooo much going on lol)

I am head over heels in love with "Fran-age" and have covered parts of the base and layers and most of the die cuts in the various vintage enamels, I sneaked a little lilac tinsel and the taupe fragments in too .

Hot Shot Craft features
"Die Cuts" in their current challenge and Marianne's Design Diva's are looking for "Wings and Things" so I've added lots along with some "Swirls and Flourishes" inspired by Fussy and Fancy.
Whimsy Stamps are playing "Bingo" and I opted for "Pearls, Ribbon and White" to complete their challenge.

I cut my teapot on my Cricut (cause I just could'nt leave him out lol!!) and coloured the Lili of the Valley girls enjoying a gossip with my Promarker's. - (First time I've been brave enough to take a close up -urm!!) I  have some fabulous gold mesh,  ribbon, some netting and a fran-taged doily surrounding it along with tiny punched butterflies, dragonflies and leaves.
I have really enjoyed making this card and letting my imagination run riot !! Hope you all like it too!!
Happy Days x x x

Friday 1 June 2012

Congratulations x

My hairdresser Kirsty has just had a beautiful baby boy....he is absolutely gorgeous I met him this morning !! Oh he's soooo very very cute !!
Here is the card I made for her to celebrate his birth.
I used a spellbinder die for the name plaque and made the rattles from the Cricut Sampler Cartridge. I  kept it clean and simple, matting and layering the co-ordinating Me to You papers with a piece of Papermania.textured card.  I added pretty ribbons and lace and some capsule collection gems .
I love the 'itty bitty little feet but cannot remember where they came from :-(
