Happy Monday !!
Welcome to my post for this weeks FCCB Challenge
#165 WEDDING DAYS
We are celebrating the wedding season today and invite you all to join us by visiting our blogs, making your own project and joining in the challenge for the chance of a blog prize and  much coveted TOP 5 place !!

Our challenge is open from 0800 Monday until 1900 on Sunday evening (US Mountain time)
All you have to do is USE and NAME at least one Cricut Cartridge on your project which can be either a card of gift
I used George and Basic Shapes to cut a white Hessian mat and a cream matt to form the background of my 6"x6" white card
I roughed up the edges and used Aged Mahogany Distress ink on all the edges before I stuck them down with Cosmic Shimmer Glue
OOPPS !! Nearly forgot to mention the cream card also has white/gold Frantage embossing powder sprinked on it too
I cut the triangle layer at 140cm from the Artiste Cartridge
I cut the heart and wedding sentiment with Artiste, with more Frantage and distress ink
I also heat embossed the wedding word with 3 layers of clear powder
I have used a mis-match of pretties on my card layering Raffia under the heart, lace on top of it and cheese cloth on the top right corner with some netting and a gorgeous ribbon for good measure too
I made the pin and added the heart charm holding it on with gold jewellery wire wrapping it around my poky tool to make the coils
I used punches for the butterflies, flowers and leaves and added pearls to finish
Don't forget to pop over to FCCB and leave the DT some love!!

Happy Father's Day x

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY !!
Sending love and hugs to all our fabulous Dad's and Grandad's

I have seen this gorgeous little shirt and it's matching envelope on several blog's this week and I just had to make one ...
...or two!!
I hadn't realised how easy it was to match the envelope to the card on the Cricut or I may well have made them much much earlier lol
I cut the envelope at fit to page and then the card and elements resized automatically
Easy Peasy !! - Thanks Rachel !!
All of the sentiments and the shapes are cut with the Artiste cartridge
with a little Distress Ink in Faded Jeans for some definition
I decided to make the inside match the outside and then added a piece of card for writing on
Super Simple's and lots of fun!!

I would like to share my card at
Papertake Weekly - Hello Boys
A Gem of a Challenge - Father's Day/Male (21st June)
Simply Create Too - Father's Day (20th June)
Dream Valley Challenges - Fathers Day (27th June)

FCCB Challenge #164 Father's Day

I have cheated with my Father's Day card for FCCB challenge this week !!
(No points for noticing it's a birthday card!!)
Technically it's not my week and the lovely Robin, boss lady and chief whip cracker may choose to chuck it out lol
BUT
I'm gonna share it anyway's !!

I spent rather a long time making the "Lincoln Treable's Dart Board" from many black and white circles cut with the George and Basic shapes Cricut cartridge
I heat embossed the edge of each of the white circles to make them look like the wires
and stuck them on the black ones
I embossed thin strips of card and the numbers which I cut with the Artiste Cartridge
I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink "splats" and used a "beer" stain stamp as the background. The Birthday sentiment was a freebie from Do Crafts
I made my dart with a broken stem and Shane's own flight cut in half, then I moulded the dart with Martha Stewart Air Clay and let it dry in place before sticking it down

Thank you for sharing my gate crashing card, I'm a tinsy winsy bit proud of it lol
Please pop over to FCCB and check out the real challenge cards made by the DT to celebrate Father's Day

Anything Goes Challenge 94 Father's Day

Welcome to my post for the Anything Goes Challenge Blog
This fortnight we are celebrating Father's everywhere and are inviting you to play along and share your own Father's Day cards

I have done another stamp design for my card and I think I like it ?? !! ??

I used a mixture of craft, white and black card  for my layers and stuck them onto a 6"x6" tent fold card

I used this fabulous Kaisercraft stamp for the main image and coloured elements of it with Tim Holtz Distress Markers. The sentiment is also Kaisercraft

I used a random assortment of stamps for the white layers and the insert, the grungy look is growing on me but I made such a mess with the Distress Inks that I had to cover the back as well

I absolutely love these coffee stain stamps but I cannot for the life of me remember who makes them even though it's not that long since I purchased them
Lynn stocks some beautiful stamps in her shop The Craft Den (Links to Lynne's blog)
Please pop along and have a look for yourselves when her new web site, which is under construction, is up and running (Coming very soon!!)
Our challenge is open for the next 2 weeks it's one of my favourite challenges because I absolutely love looking at all the cards and projects for some much needed inspiration where the boy's in our lives are concerned lol !!

FCCB Challenge #163 Ruffles, Ribbons and Bows

Happy Monday !!

Today is the start of another challenge over at FCCB and we are decorating our projects with at least 2 different ribbons as well as the obligatory Cricut cuts that we all love !!

Challenge #163 Ruffles,Ribbons and Bows
Use 2 types of ribbon on your project

My card is also for my Nan who recently celebrated her 92nd Birthday
I must have had something of a brain storm  because I took my photographs before I added the bling and didn't take a finished pic at all !!
My Cricut cut is the Elegant Edges cartridge flower pattern behind the decoupage topper which is a Hunkydory freebie kit

Please pop over and see the DT projects on the FCCB challenge blog and then join in the fun with your own project. The challenge is open until 1900 (MT) Sunday evening and I will be announcing the winners of last weeks challenge on Wednesday as always

Make your own Background challenge over at Anything Goes.....x

Morning everyone !!
Welcome to my post for the Anything Goes Challenge Blog
This week we were challenged by Kezzy to make a project with a hand made back ground ....
....The challenge runs for two weeks and the DT have some fabulous inspiration up for grabs so please pop over and give them some love ...

My background is made with core'dinations card stock and a beautiful spellbinders embossing plate.
The black is embossed and the pink de-bossed and sanded with a sanding block to let the core colour come through

I used Tim Holtz Jewel card stock for the purple and jade layers and used a distressing tool to ruff all the edges up

My stamp is by Creative Individuals and was given to me by Lynn at the Craft Den on my recent visit to her shop
I used Staz on ink and some Tim Holtz distress markers to colour little elements of the back ground and then decoupaged the beautiful elephants using scraps of my back ground card showing the core colour

I really enjoyed making this card and hope you like it too !!

Happy Birthday Shane x

It seems only 2 minutes since I made my daughter JoJo's birthday cards for her wonderful fiance Shane for last year and yet here we are again with more to share !!
Oh how time is flying ....
He is really into playing cards and darts and so we designed our cards to suit his current interests !!

I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to make the playing cards.
The background card is cut at 19cm and stuck on to a Kanban silver embossed A5 card blank.

I used Antique Linen distress ink to take the whiteness out of the playing cards and embossed to the top one and the bottom one (Stuck down sideways with his name on) with clear embossing powder
I made a banner also from Artiste and used foam pads on all the elements for plenty of depth.
Hope no one notices one of the spades is the wrong way round lol !!

Back later to share the other one which has a dart made with some Martha Stewart air dry clay on it ...
